About

The Contemplative Life Foundation
CLF is a fluid community of seekers whose primary purpose is to engage in a holistic approach to the human journey. We seek to develop in body, mind and spirit. We seek balance and desire to support each other in the journey to self-actualization.
Over the years, this organization has sought to introduce persons to the spiritual dimension. In most traditional religions, there has been little emphasis on personal experience and encounter. The focus has been predominately communal. In addition, there has also been a strong focus on the cerebral at the expense of the heart. This weakened side of personal experience has been an unfortunate development in the faith traditions, especially when we reverence the various spiritual examples because of their personal experience and the way those experiences nurtured communities of faith through the years. Accepting the great acts of the past with a sense that there is no more to come and all that is required of our time is to follow the teachings that emerged from them is an unacknowledged failing in our current pursuance of faith. We stand committed to this assumption. In so doing to facilitate a renewed openness to personal experience for the enrichment of community.
The Community
CLF seeks to provide spaces where people may gather to explore and support each other in their journeys. To be open to discerning each person’s soul plan. What am I here to do?
We gather as fellow travellers using contemporary and ancient practices and approaches. Like any journey, we meet folks on the way; some we connect with, others we engage for the moment. We hope you will come closer and join us as you seek to be more you, finding those places that have remained hidden and manifesting those gifts that have gone unacknowledged.

Sharing at Sundown
One of the spaces we provide for all persons is our Friday evening gatherings. This is usually a time when persons who have followed the week’s Daily Devotions by Michael come online to share their perspective on what they heard. It is a time to share how it has impacted them and also to listen to hear how others would have viewed what was shared. There is no requirement to share as sometimes persons simply want to listen to others and in their own time may choose to share.
These evenings are informal and are open to all persons. The sessions take place only during the period when there are actual Daily Devotions. Many persons have borne witness to how these evenings have assisted them in their journey. Persons pop in and out from time to time. There is no requirement to be present or to attend each season. Feel free to join as you choose.
Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Barbados time (-4:00 UTC)

About Founder
Michael A. Clarke – Fr. Michael for many for others just Michael. Michael is a seeker and has journeyed intentionally along the path of discovery for over 40 years. Trained as an Anglican priest he has always been fascinated with the power of healing. Coming from a science background he felt intensely the call to reunite Science and Spirituality.
This has led him to explore many paths of spiritual healing and in more recent times to Reconnective Healing and the ways in which energy plays such a vital role in all of creation. MIchael has found great wisdom in the tools of the Enneagram, Integral Human Design and the Gene Keys. His openness to various modalities has nurtured a passion for the spiritual traditions across the world. He therefore has a keen interest in the interfaith movement especially from the mystical perspective.
